About the role

The Quality and Risk Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and improving the integrated Quality and Enterprise Risk operating systems to ensure excellence in care and service delivery across the organisation. This includes ensuring that Jewish Care Victoria has the required capability for excellence in Quality and Enterprise Risk management consistent with industry standards and that these systems are integrated and support achievement of Jewish Care Victoria’s strategic objectives.

What you will do

  • An understanding of quality management issues, including systems and processes for achieving continuous quality improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of complex tasks within and across several areas at the one time and to different timeframes.
  • Excellent writing skills including a demonstrated ability to prepare reports using clear, concise language, organise information into a logical sequence and include content appropriate for the purpose and audience.
  • Experience and expertise in the development and implementation of quality systems in a large organisation preferably within the health/aged care/community services sectors
  • Competence in data collection, recording, analysis, and presentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a range of complex tasks within and across several areas at the one time and to different timeframes

You will bring

  • Demonstrated understanding of corporate and clinical governance principles and application of risk management concepts within aged care, disability and social service settings
  • Excellent writing skills including a demonstrated ability to prepare reports using clear, concise language, organise information into a logical sequence and include content appropriate for the purpose and audience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with multi-functional streams and diverse stakeholders.
  • Competence in data collection, recording, analysis, and presentation.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification (relevant post-graduate qualifications in risk management, organisational or project planning and/or health field will be highly regarded.)
  • 3 – 5 years' experience in a senior management / coordination role
