About us:

Jewish Care Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. We have been servicing the community for 175 years. Our staff come from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds. About the role

It has been identified by Jewish Care that there are a number of our clients, whom with assistance can stay in their own homes. It has also been identified that there are a number of people who are looking to start a career in the care industry and would like to find an entry point. The Domestic Assistant role with BlueStar is the perfect role for those looking to start a new career, or simply would like to find a way to contribute to the community.

Some of what you will do:

• Be able to do a variety of domestic assistance tasks including; dusting, mopping, sweeping, vacuuming, and wiping down tables, benches, showers, bathrooms, stovetops, fridges and cupboards, and unescorted shopping.
• Have the ability brighten the day of our elders in the community
• Safely use the cleaning products and equipment that the clients provide
• Wear the personal protective equipment that Jewish Care supplies, such as; disposable aprons and gloves

Our clients are based are largely based in South Yarra, Elsternwick, Caulfield, Bentleigh, Carnegie & Port Phillip, though other locations do occur.

About You

• Domestic cleaning experience is highly regarded
