Jewish Care Victoria, is a not-for-profit organisation and is one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria and has been servicing the community. Our staff come from all cultural and religious backgrounds, and we provide cultural and spiritual training in the Jewish Ethos. 

About the role

Jewish Care Victoria have a wonderful opportunity for an experienced and motivated Residence Manager to lead and mentor our dedicated team at Residential Home in Windsor. This is an outstanding growth opportunity within one of Australia’s leading providers of Aged Care services.

Your key responsibilities

  • Promote a philosophy of care tailored to the needs of the individual resident in line with Jewish Care’s Values 
  • Deliver excellent care and support, underpinned by the organisations values for the community we serve
  • Effective business management 
  • Key member of the Jewish Care leadership team and contribute to planning and business improvement
  • Ensure that the documentation of the care given is in accordance with, and is at the standard required by, the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing.
  • Ensure that standards of care and support practices delivered by staff are in accordance with those promulgated by Jewish Care, Accreditation Standards and recognised professional bodies

Your skills & experience

  • Nursing qualifications - AHPRA registered division 1 Nurse
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the current Commonwealth funding model and supplements
  • Demonstrate an understanding of aged care accreditation and legislation procedures or other similar regulatory frameworks
  • Able to determine workload priorities and allocate resources effectively
  • Proven experience in management of service or business unit
  • Commercial acumen ideally within the aged care industry or other human services/retain environment
  • A proven record of strong budgeting and financial management
  • Demonstrate and understanding of culturally diverse environments
  • Display an ability to communicate in an open and effective manner
