Jewish Care Victoria is a not-for-profit organisation one of the largest providers of aged and community services for the Jewish Community in Victoria. About the role:

Exciting career opportunities exist for passionate Disability Support Workers committed to supporting persons with a disability to live their best life. Based in Caulfield and surrounding suburbs across: 

• Daily Living Support 
• Respite & Short Term Accommodation 
• Disability Houses 

Within your new role: 

• Establish and maintain a supportive environment for people using a person cantered active support model.
• Facilitate and support clients in all aspects of daily living.
• Promote opportunities for skill development and community access.
• Contribute to the plans and outcomes for clients, programs and activities.
• Maintain effective interpersonal communications with clients, colleagues, and family members.
• Regularly update client reports and relevant records. 

What you will bring:

• Certificate IV in Disability or Certificate III in Individual Support
• Prior experience supporting persons with disability.
• Current Victorian Drivers License and reliable car (Essential)
• Proven understanding of person-centred approach and positive behavior supports.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, work independently and part of a team.
• NDIS Worker Clearance (Essential)
• Working with Children Check WWCC (Essential)
