Join Jewish Care Victoria as a Finance Business Partner and play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation. Working closely with the Chief Financial Officer and Head of Finance, you'll provide trusted financial advice, insightful analysis and commercial support to operational leaders while helping deliver high-quality services to our community.

 

About the Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you'll combine technical accounting expertise with commercial insight to deliver accurate financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and business partnering across Community Aged Care and Disability Services. You'll lead key financial processes, mentor finance team members, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and provide the financial intelligence that supports informed organisational decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Analysis

  • Deliver accurate and timely month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis.
  • Prepare monthly management reports, executive and Board reporting packs.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide meaningful commentary on business performance.

Business Partnering

  • Partner with Community Aged Care and Disability leaders to review financial performance and support operational decision-making.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
  • Support business units in understanding budgets, expenditure and financial performance.

Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with finance policies, delegations of authority and accounting standards.
  • Prepare annual acquittals, prudential compliance statements and statutory reporting.

Systems & Process Improvement

  • Drive continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting and business processes.
  • Support accounting system enhancements and systems integration.
  • Ensure financial interfaces and data reconciliations are accurate and reliable.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reporting capability and financial controls.

 

About You

You'll be an experienced finance professional who enjoys building trusted relationships and translating financial information into meaningful business insights.

You'll bring:

  • Degree Qualified in Finance, accounting or related fields
  • CA/CPA qualified or equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management, business partnering or management accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide practical recommendations.
  • Experience preparing budgets, forecasts, management reports and variance analysis.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working with ERP systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong financial systems capability.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to present financial information to senior leaders.
  • Proven ability to manage competing priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
  • A collaborative leadership style with experience mentoring and supporting team members.
