Food Service Assistants

  • Permanent Part-Time position- 28 hours per week

  • Roster- Monday 9am-5pm, Tuesday 7am-3pm, Thursday 10:30am-6:30pm & Friday 12:30pm- 6:30pm

About you

You are a dedicated person who loves assisting with the preparation of meals, ensuring our residents receive nutritious and appetising meals that contribute to their overall wellbeing and quality of life. You thrive working in a respectful and collaborative environment. You will be joining a supportive dynamic team with a strong focus providing outstanding, friendly and compassionate service.

You would be a great fit if you have:

  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Food Handlers Certificate (essential)
  • NDIS worker screening check (essential)
  • Previous food service industry experience, ideally in the health care sector 
  • Track record of providing excellent service and customer experience
  • Effective communication skills
  • Demonstrate a good work ethic
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as in a team environment
  • A flexible approach and willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
  • Great attention to detail
  • Excellent ‘can do’ attitude 
  • Good presentation, with a happy outlook
  • Ability to calmly work under pressure and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Providing friendly and compassionate service to residents, ensuring their dietary needs and preferences are met.
