About the Opportunity

Reporting to the Director Clinical Governance, Risk and Experience, the Head of Quality and Risk is responsible for leading and continuously enhancing Jewish Care Victoria's integrated Quality and Enterprise Risk Management Frameworks to support excellence in care, governance and service delivery.

This executive leadership role will strengthen organisational capability in clinical governance, enterprise risk, quality improvement, compliance and policy management, ensuring systems align with strategic priorities, regulatory requirements and industry best practice.

Key Responsibilities

As the Head of Quality and Risk, you will:

  • Lead the implementation, management and continuous improvement of integrated Quality and Enterprise Risk Management systems.
  • Drive organisation-wide capability in Clinical Governance aligned to Jewish Care Victoria's Clinical Governance Framework.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Clinical Governance Managers and Clinical Governance Product Manager/System Administrator.
  • Oversee quality, compliance, policy management, governance systems and enterprise risk activities.
  • Strengthen governance frameworks to support regulatory compliance and organisational excellence.
  • Lead the organisation's governance, compliance and policy management platforms.
  • Deliver high-quality reporting and insights to the Executive Leadership Team, Board Committees and the Board.
  • Lead strategic projects within agreed timeframes and budgets.

 

About You

You are an experienced leader with a passion for strengthening quality, safety and organisational performance through effective governance and risk management.

You will bring:

  • Leadership experience in quality, clinical governance and enterprise risk within health, aged care, disability or community services.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, continuous improvement methodologies and enterprise risk frameworks.
  • Extensive understanding of regulatory compliance, accreditation standards and legislative requirements within highly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing governance systems and organisational compliance platforms.
  • Exceptional written communication skills, including preparation of Executive, Board and regulatory reports.
  • Outstanding stakeholder engagement, influencing and relationship management skills.

Essential Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Quality, Clinical Governance, Health Management, Nursing, Allied Health, Business, Risk Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years' experience in a leadership role in quality, governance or risk.
  • Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management.
  • Experience working within highly regulated health, aged care, disability or community service environments.
