  • Deliver a workplace that will shape the future of Jewish Care Victoria.
  • Onsite role based in our St Kilda Road and Windsor offices

We are seeking an experienced, highly organised and hands-on Project Manager – Office Relocation to lead one of the organisation's most significant corporate projects – the relocation of our Corporate Office to the newly refurbished Windsor campus.

Reporting directly to the Head of Property, this is a unique opportunity to manage an end-to-end relocation project that combines commercial office fit-out delivery, stakeholder engagement, technology enablement, change management and the preservation of Jewish Care Victoria's rich organisational history.

About the Role

This is far more than coordinating a move.

You will become the central point of leadership and coordination between Jewish Care Victoria, our Design & Construct (D&C) partner, consultants, contractors and internal stakeholders to ensure our new workplace is delivered on time, within scope and budget, while providing an exceptional experience for our people.

This is a highly visible, hands-on role requiring regular on-site involvement throughout construction, relocation and decommissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will:

  • Lead the complete office relocation project from planning through to occupation and final decommissioning of the Kraus Building.
  • Partner closely with the appointed Design & Construct contractor to ensure the delivered workplace aligns with agreed business requirements, programme and budget.
  • Review design documentation, resolve construction issues, manage project scope, variations and monitor delivery milestones.
  • Engage with every business unit to understand operational requirements including workspace planning, storage, technology, equipment and records management.
  • Translate business requirements into practical workplace design and relocation plans.
  • Develop and manage staged relocation schedules that minimise disruption to business operations.
  • Coordinate workstation allocations, packing, labelling, induction activities and move logistics to ensure teams are operational from day one.
  • Coordinate furniture, equipment, signage and long-lead procurement activities in alignment with the construction programme.
  • Work closely with Information Technology teams and external vendors to coordinate communications infrastructure, telephony, technology cutovers and testing.
  • Coordinate the archiving, digitisation, secure storage and disposal of organisational records in accordance with legislative and privacy requirements.
  • Oversee the orderly decommissioning of the Kraus Building following successful relocation.

About You

You are an experienced project professional who enjoys working across multiple workstreams while building strong relationships with stakeholders at every level.

You are equally comfortable presenting to senior executives as you are walking a construction site resolving issues with contractors.

You bring:

  • Demonstrated success delivering commercial office relocations, workplace transformations or office fit-out projects from planning through occupation.
  • Strong client-side project management experience managing Design & Construct partners, consultants and contractors.
  • Excellent project management capability across scope, schedule, budget, procurement, governance, reporting and risk management.
  • Outstanding organisational skills with the ability to coordinate concurrent workstreams including construction, technology, furniture, relocation logistics, records management and change management.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement and consultation skills with the ability to gather operational requirements from diverse teams.
  • Confidence preparing high-quality reports and presentations for Executive, Steering Committee and Board audiences.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, Microsoft Project and project reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience

To be successful, you will ideally possess:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Construction, Property, Business or a related discipline.
  • Project Management certification such as PRINCE2, PMP or AIPM (desirable).
  • Working knowledge of commercial office fit-outs including Design & Construct procurement, permits, staged construction and workplace delivery.
  • Understanding of records management, archiving and privacy obligations.
  • Experience relocating heritage items, archives or culturally significant artefacts will be highly regarded.

If you enjoy bringing complex projects together, working closely with diverse stakeholders and seeing a project through from concept to completion, we'd love to hear from you.
