Clinical Support Manager

Permanent Full-Time position at Gary Smorgon House, Caulfield

About the Role

As the Clinical Support Manager, you will play a key leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high‑quality clinical care and supporting our care team to achieve excellence. You will work closely with the Residence Manager to uphold best practice, foster a positive team culture, and ensure our residents receive person‑centred, culturally responsive care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and provide clinical leadership to nursing and care staff to deliver safe, high-quality, resident-centred care
  • Oversee the provision of nursing and personal care services
  • Ensure compliance with organisational policies, procedures, and accreditation standards
  • Monitor clinical indicators, medication management, and incident reporting, including SIRS and open disclosure
  • Lead quality improvement activities, respond to audit outcomes, and support safe practice improvement
  • Promote culturally sensitive care aligned with residents’ social, cultural, spiritual, and religious needs
  • Manage and support performance, education, and competency development of Personal Care Assistants and the nursing team
  • Oversee implementation and monitoring of AN-ACC requirements and ensure accurate collection and submission of NQI/NQIP data

 Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience as a Clinical Care Coordinator or Clinical Support Manager
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary aged care nursing, including assessment, care planning, and evaluation
  • Demonstrated experience managing the Aged Care Funding Model (AN‑AAC)
  • Experience as an IPC Lead (desirable)
  • Ability to lead, empower, and motivate staff
  • Strong understanding of culturally diverse care environments
  • Ability to teach, mentor, and support quality practice
  • Excellent communication skills with an open and collaborative approach
  • Commitment to continuous quality improvement
