About the role:

You will be assisting the Leisure & Lifestyle Coordinator to provide leadership, coaching, and direction to residential teams that drives a holistic approach to support our residents. The Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant assists in maintaining a diverse suite of formal and informal group programs both in-house and out in the broader community including those that are social, recreational, cultural, and spiritual. 

You will be great if you have:

  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
  • Experience working as a Leisure & Lifestyle Assistant in an aged care or a community environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A warm, compassionate and caring nature with genuine respect for cultural diversity and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to work as a team and monitor our residents' needs and wellbeing
  • A 'can do', willing and creative attitude
  • NDIS Worker screening number
  • Multilingual (desirable) especially Russian, Hebrew, and/or Yiddish
